Congratulations to the Gifted Trivia Team
they competed in the WVIA Scholastic Scrimmage. In Round 1 HAHS competed against Hanover High School on Friday, January 13, 2017 and in Round 2 they competed against Pittston High School on Monday, January 16, 2017. These TV shows will be aired in April of 2017. (Updated 1-20-17)

They are being profiled on the Public Broadcasting Service Channel (PBS) during the week of January 22-28, 2017. Participants will hear major policy addresses by senators, cabinet members, officials from the Depts of State and Defense and other federal agencies, as well as participate in a meeting with a justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. All transportation, hotel and meal expenses will be provided by The Hearst Foundations.In addition, each delegate will also be awarded a $10,000 college scholarship for undergraduate studies, with encouragement to pursue coursework in history and political science.
